VALLEY DEFENSIVE SOLUTIONS COURSES

If you're new to owning and shooting a handgun, taking a beginner handgun course is highly recommended. At Valley Defensive Solutions, we offer several courses designed for those who have little to no experience with a firearm. Our courses will teach you the fundamentals of handgun safety, how to properly handle and shoot a handgun, and the legal requirements for owning and carrying a firearm.

  • Concealed Carry Courses

    In the Concealed Carry Course we will teach you the knowledge, skills, and attitude necessary to carry a concealed pistol for personal protection. You will learn; basic firearm safety, ammunition type and uses, situational awareness, California CCW law overview, Federal CCW law overview, laws regarding the use of force in California, and basic defensive pistol manipulation.

  • NRA Basic Pistol Course

    The NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting is intended for all individuals regardless of previous shooting experience or NRA-affiliation. Students learn NRA’s rules for safe gun handling, pistol parts and operation, ammunition, shooting fundamentals, range rules, shooting from the bench rest position, and two handed standing positions, cleaning the pistol, and continued opportunities for skill development.

  • Tactical Handgun

    The Tactical Handgun Course will focus on the techniques needed to develop a defensive mindset. The goal of the course will be to develop the knowledge, skills, and attitude necessary to carry and use a concealed pistol ethically, responsibly, and with confidence. This class is not for beginners you will need to have a current CCW Permit to take this class or BSIS.

  • BSIS Renewals

    BSIS Renewal is an 8 hour refresher course for security guards are that are employed by licensed Private Patrol Operators or private security employers. All registered security guards are required to maintain their certificate of completion of the required training until the registration expires or has been canceled.

  • USCCA Home Protect

    USCCA Home Protect will walk you through how to best provide a personal and home protection plan. How to best avoid a threat and how to deal with a threat if it were to arise.

CASH to cover your range fee (varies by location)

◎ Up tp 3 Firearms you want to list on your permit (Only needed on Sunday. Please Do Not Bring Firearms to class)

◎ 100 cartridges for your primary firearm and 50 cartridges for all others.

◎ Eye and Ear Protection

◎ Brimmed Hat (baseball cap is fine)

◎ Notepad and Pen

◎ Snacks and Drinks (if desired)

PLEASE NOTE: Firearms and live ammunition are NOT permitted in the classroom training environment. If your class requires a live fire portion, please leave your firearms unloaded and locked in your vehicle until you are instructed to retrieve them. Please plan accordingly.

Safety Policy: There are no compromises on safety. Safety is a critical aspect of all classes, and unsafe or disruptive behavior in class or on the range will result in dismissal. If you are dismissed due to a safety issue, you will not be refunded. The instructor has sole discretion in determining if you have engaged in unsafe or disruptive behavior.

Cancellation Policy: Instructors are hired, classrooms are rented, and range time is reserved for each student when they register.  Training fees include a 50% non-refundable deposit.  Students who wish to reschedule their course may do so anytime before the start time of their course. Students are limited to one rescheduled date and must be within 365 days of the original course start date.   Students who are absent from any portion of a class without notice will not be eligible for a refund or reschedule.
